Spring 2011 Season Kicks Off

Posted on 04 March 2011 by David Del Vecchio

The Spring 2011 Season of the LATTF team league gets underway Saturday, March 5th.

It’s shaping up to be a great season with several new clubs participating, and a bunch of new and returning players.

While I’m sure everyone’s excited to get out there and play some table tennis, a few tips to help the league run smoothly:

  1. Know the rules (no, there won’t be a quiz, but it’s still important)
  2. Check the schedule for your division. Show up 30 min. before the scheduled match time to warm-up (you want to play your best, right?)
  3. Wear your team uniform (that way you’ll look all snazzy in your team photo for each match, plus it’s required, see #1).
  4. Home team: Print out a blank team contest scoresheet and bring it to the match. Instructions for how to play the team contest are at the bottom (now how to win on the other hand, is up to you).
  5. Home team captain: submit the results of the team contest within 24 hours (yes, even if your team loses). Be sure to take some photos at the match so you’ll have something to submit.
  6. Everyone: Play hard and have FUN!!! (this one is mandatory).

Why:  We have prizes and awards to give out and it’s a great way to get together and enjoy lunch on a Saturday
Who: You, your teammates and family is welcome as well.
Dress code:  As you please.

Come socialize, see friends, eat delicious food and talk about whatever you want (next season is around the corner… sign-up deadline August 2nd).

Please RSVP as soon as possible and NO later than Friday, July 23rd.  Also, list if how many people you are bringing if you will be bringing guests. For example:  Adam Bobrow + 2.

You don’t need to know that they are Jessica Alba and J.O. Waldner… that would just be a surprise.  Don’t worry, I plan to come alone.

Please spread this to your teammates since we do not have their emails and we look forward to having you at this joyous gathering.  Also, let us know if you are vegan, vegetarian or have other dietary needs.  Thanks.

To RSVP, send an email to adambobrow@gmail.com.
